1) Preparation
- Dedicated computer(s) with Internet
- Become Familiar with Website
- Take Lessons / Quizzes – Provider & staff
- Print Certificates
- Watch Videos of Home Sleep Test Devices
- Watch Tutorials on How to Use the Portal
- Obtain authorization to use Portal
- Assessment - Patient Self Assesses by Screening Questionnaire (waiting room) - use one of these for your office:
- By the Healthcare Provider
- Reviews Screening Questionnaire
- Examines Patient – (Neck size, Mallampati Class, Nasal Features)
- If appropriate - has Assistant Evaluate with Portal Protocol
- Primarily used by Medical or Dental Assistants
- Assistant to sign into Portal
- Create a New Patient File or
- Choose Existing patient
- Select Appropriate Visit
- Input Information from Patient / Forms
- Discuss use of Home Sleep test with Provider
- Place Home Test on patient if appropriate
4) Place Home Sleep Test Device
- Open Stardust II Program
- Connect appropriate leads
- Connect to computer
- Turn device on
- Select Initialize Recording Device
- Wait for Connection
- Input Patient Information & Initialize
- Instruct Patient Use
- Give patient Instruction Sheet / Website
- Have them return next day
- Clean device for next patient
